In March, 2017, the US Supreme Court ruled what amounted to a huge victory for Special Education in the United States. In the Endrew F. vs. Douglas County School District Case, the Supreme Court ruled that schools are required to “do more than provide a merely de minimis” (minimal) education, they must provide the opportunity for an “appropriately ambitious” education in line with federal education laws.
